Community Benefits

Meaningful community investment is a given

In each community we enter, we invest 10% of our developer fees into a community specific investment fund directed in part by host community members and leaders, to support community identified needs such as child care, food access, education, arts and cultural programs, youth education and sports, and other community identified priorities with additional funding. This community investment is in addition to a formal enforceable community benefit agreement.

What the community keeps

A sustainable, community-first site, with a durable property tax base, local hiring and training, community-directed funds, and digital inclusion investments: the connectivity, skills, and access that let residents share in the digital economy this infrastructure serves, and infrastructure funded privately, with no burden on local taxpayers.

How communities benefit

Lower Electricity Costs

Smartly structured power agreements will lower electricity costs for the entire community. Renewable supply and battery storage are paired with flexible operations to reduce peak-hour grid demand and keep project costs from being shifted to neighbors.

Benefits that Last

Community benefits are shaped through local input, secured through enforceable agreements, and reported on the project's location page over the life of the project.

Support for First Responders

We partner with local fire departments, regulators and government officials to train, plan and share learnings, from code development to hands-on drills.

Land and Green Space

Conservation easements can permanently protect parts of the property. We preserve and restore wetlands, plant dense native trees, and expand green buffers, returning more usable green space to the community.
